William van Dyk DDS (photo not available)
Dr. van Dyk has been a general dentist in San Pablo since 1976, directly across from Doctors Medical Center. He previously served on the Hospital Board when the hospital was operated by the Tenet Corporation. He’s been active in San Pablo through the Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce, and Contra Costa College. As a member of the current Board, his goal is to ensure that the hospital location transfers to a viable business and that any funds continuing to come to the District go to help the residents of West County.
Deborah Campbell, RN
Director Campbell is a 35-year registered nurse specializing in ER, trauma, and critical care. She is an 18-year resident of Hercules and was elected to the Board in 2000. She is a community activist and patient advocate promoting accountability, equal access to healthcare and single universal healthcare. She is a member of the CNA leadership team and is presently working with the County EMS to improve and develop 1st response (ALS) to all 911 calls.
Irma Anderson, RN
Director Anderson is a retired registered nurse with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Cornell University and a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She started her career in Boston at Boston University Hospital as Assistant Nursing Director and Clinical Nursing Instructor. Anderson later moved to California where she spent 29 years of her career with Contra Costa County as a staff public health nurse for the County Public Health Department, and later advanced to Director of Public Health Nursing. Anderson served as mayor for the City of Richmond, California, between 2001 and 2006. As Mayor of the City of Richmond, she helped save the City from financial disaster by making difficult decisions to change management and reduce the city’s operating expenses, which saved the City from bankruptcy.
Nancy Casazza, RN
Director Casazza, a 20-year resident of Contra Costa County, is a registered nurse specializing in ER & ICU. A healthcare activist, Director Casazza was elected to the Board in 2000 and strives for equitable, accessible healthcare for everyone.
While on the Board, she has promoted community outreach, seismic safety of the hospital, and disaster preparedness.
Director Wallace is a native of West County and a retired 40-year employee of Brookside Hospital, with firsthand knowledge of the many changes in the healthcare field. She is a Senior Advocate who actively participates in other organizations and strives to improve community health and wellness. She is a strong supporter of accessible, affordable and quality healthcare for all.
